Default Thought Richard And Interview With Locke

I have just rewatched last weeks show and i was thinking ok the things richard put on the table were

Baseball mit, Book Of Laws, Jar of sand, Compass, comic book, And a knife. ok did anyone notice the title of the comic book was " Hidden Island" ( of course you did that was a stupid question) Well what if Richard is looking for 6 different people ( one for each thing) Maybe he was not upset that John choose the knife but in a way scared. Maybe John is the one who was in change of protecting the Island and it scared him. I know that this is not making scence. But it would explaine his look when John choose the knife. I was also wondering about the Book. Book of Laws could it be more like the Rule Book when Ben said he changed the rules? I found it strange the comic book was titled "HIDDEN ISLAND" seeing how that is what the island is. Does john ever remember this? I don't know but this is just something i started to think about today sorry if you think it's stupid. I i keep thinking aobut it.

It's not stupid. The fact is he almost picked everything! Could each of those things apply to any of the other people? Did Hurley ever play baseball? Comic book could be Walt's or Hurley's.

To be honest. John should remember that. He is old enough at that age to remember it later as "the strange man with his strange stuff where I had to chose one from". That is why I don't understand why we never had a flash back of the contact between john and Richard earlier in the series.
I mean, Lock met Richard already on the Island. Richard gave him the files of the Con-man= the one that stole his kidney and the one that made that the parents of Sawyer ended up dead. So he saw Richard but he didn't recognize him. He didn't had a face like "he I know you". I think that is strange as Richard his face never changes in times. So maybe John lost all his memories when he was thrown from the building? I don't know.
Anyway.
When Richard was visiting Lock with his items, john must have had nearly the same age as Ben when he sees Richard the first time on the Island.
Aren't John and Ben nearly the same age? And both suffered from not having a caring mother and father.

I think it must be rather difficult to cast a different person to play the role of the younger life of any charactor, unless it was as a child. I think it has already been admitted that there was only so much they could do to make 52 yr old Michael Emerson playing 40ish Ben look an even younger late 20's age..
And Terry O'Quinn, while yes, did appear younger with hair, was supposed to be Locke born in the early/mid 50's, but the ages of both sets of parents would set John's dad at a very wrong age, I think. Wait. I'm lost. Where am I trying to go with this?

ok, I'm back. ha. I believe John was born early 50's, and Ben, from the looks of the birthing scene outside Portland, was born mid 60's. ?
So... he'd have had to be in his early 20's when he "adopted" Alex, right? yeah, I think... But if the purge happened 12 yrs ago, he would have been about 27ish... he sure didn't look any 27ish at the purge, did he... oh, well...
