I rewatched the entire finale, and was struck by some of Ben's quotes during his meeting with Jack at the end. As Ben mentioned, whoever moves the Island cannot return. However, it appears as if Ben has the chance to return, if all of those who were on the Island return at once. I'm feeling that Ben is working with Sun to get close to Widmore, and help him find the Island because Widmore needs to arrive with them all as well. I'm sure Walt will also be included in this group. So why would this be the case and how are they going to get everyone who's ever been to the Island to go back together at the same time? (Bear in mind that this could also include Desmond and Frank, and possible Dharma Initiative members as well)

I don't think Ben can go back, but he is able to give Jack instructions(obviously he's left the island before so he would know how). However, if Desmon and Frank need to go back, that will lead Ben right to Penny.
I'm not sure that Ben was completely truthful about not being able to return...I mean, he may know more about the island than almost anybody else does, but how did he know about the wheel and that it was cold and that he might possibly end up near Tunisia (where he used that fake passport he had at the ready)?
I think Ben moving the island was the plan all along. Not because it had become clear that Jacob no longer wanted Ben, as Ben leads on, but that they planned it together. Jacob "shows" himself to Locke, Ben helps Jake to make Locke believe he is the new leader of the Others. Wasn't it weird that the Others knew to wait for Ben's signal at the Orchid? And that they weren't surprised at all to see Locke was their new leader? The Others were under the belief that Ben was exactly where he wanted to be the whole time he was imprisoned by Locke. And even that is weird...Ben was kept in a basement for quite a long time...If he was truly unable to have any sort of contact with anyone how did he seem to know what was going on? ....Unless of course he talked to Jacob or one of the Others somehow or already told them what was going to happen.
It was all planned. Jacob and Ben are still working together to save the island. Locke is there to help save the island too, but his job becomes the same as Ben's...Working on getting the O6 back to the island. Locke uses a guilt trip on Jack, Ben uses Sayid's vengeance streak, Jacob is probably behind Kate's dream (The phone call played backwards says "The Island needs you. You have to go back before it's too late.") and Hurley wanting to go back.
So how does he get Hurley? Well he did allow Hurley to see the cabin....Jacob sends Charlie to Hurley first because he knew Hurley would be most affected by seeing one of his closest friends from the island whom he knew to be dead. Hurley freaks out the first two times he sees Charlie, then Matthew Abbadon appears to him and he is even more freaked out. Finally, Charlie is able to talk to him long enough to tell him he needs to go back because they need him. When Jack visits, Hurley tells him they have to do the right thing and go back.
We know Ben to be a liar, and, yes, he can be just as truthful too, but which one is he this time? I'm saying he's not being completely honest, because he knows it to be the only way to save the island. All the wrong things he's done that have made him a "bad person" could end up being the necessary steps he had to take to save the island. Or perhaps he really is a "bad guy" and is working extra hard to get more people on his side for his own benefit...but I doubt it.

great comment
Ben claimed that he can never go back, but he’s a liar; everyone knows that. He’s been lying ever since his character was introduced into the series.
Besides, let’s say for the sake of argument that everyone does need to return to the island together, then that’s just a way for the writers to tease the audience as to how that’s going to be accomplished.
If everyone needs to go back to the island, than the writers will find a way to make it happen, that’s for sure.

I'm really interested in finding out how they find out where the island is in the first place?
does Locke tell the oceanic six as he goes around visiting them how to get back?
Also, it's rather strange that 'Jacobs' instructions to move the island have lead Locke to endure 'some very bad things'. I have always got the idea that 'Jacob' knows exactly what to do for the right results. Is the christian shepard 'Jacob' bad? Ben, himself, has only ever seen the invisible one after all, who cried out 'help' to John...

Your comment about Jacob crying out "Help me" to Locke made me think of Locke on top of the hatch door pounding and crying like he was a supplicant asking the gods to help him. Maybe Jacob was only repeating the same words that John whispered when he was prostrated on the door. This is how John knew that he had found a source/supreme power on the island. Is Jacob Ben's constant and has that now changed because Ben has moved or hidden the island? Is Jacob now John's constant? And that is why he can travel off the island?
