this is a mystery that is suppose to be answered by end of series...lets hope..i have no idea...jacob and abadon are both mysterious right now..not to mention richard..
I think Jacob is Locke, if so maybe it would cause a disturbance for Jacob to speak directly to Locke like what happened the first time they were in the cabin together.
ok i could go with that..maybe...if locke is jacob why does christian need to tell him what to do...or is christian playing a role of lockes conscience (sp) or something ..he knows but just needs to hear it to do it....
It's all about time...loops in time, paradox, simultaneous time...
Locke is both alive and dead I believe, could it be that, due to the island Jacob is a future iteration of Locke caught in a loop like the scientist guy ( i forget his name) in Locke's 'dream' was?

This is confusing, but I guess Jacob could be Locke. That could explain all the mysterious visists from Richard in his younger years. If he is Jacob, does he know it? This is a very interesting theory.

How come when Locke goes to see Jacob, Jacob needs Christian to speak on his behalf when apparently Ben can speak directly to Jacob?
i think ben is jacob. either ben made him up or jacob is possessing bens body. either way, ben controls EVERYTHING. even recently, with ben acting the way he has, he is still in complete control. and anyone who believes ben when he told john whoever turns the wheel can't come back, has not been paying attention to who ben is...

Yes, something happens in the future which cause a problem with the timeline, somesort of paradox or something that Locke needs to correct. That's why Jacob needs Locke to help him.
I can't help but wonder about the bad things that happened on the island after Jack left. I think it's funny that Jack leaves and Ben leaves so Locke is left in charge. And the whole thing goes straight to hell! Maybe Locke wasn't ready to be left in charge yet.
