Default Santa Rosa Clues

After viewing some screen shots i have noticed several findings that i need to discuss and get ideas on.

The first is the vist from Abaddon: http://lost.cubit.net/s4inv/4x01_chalkboard.php

In this shot you of course notice the chalk board with the shark and island view that is simlilar to the hatch drawing of the sun.

Next you notice the chess game in progress which clearly Hurley is not playing due to the way the board is setting I think it has some symbolism esp due to the fact his eyes are focused on the empty seat as if he was waiting for somone else to move. An Abaddon is the Light chess pieces.

Finally the flipped over playing cards laying on the table and Daniels experiment and playing cards in the painting in Aarons room.

The second photo is from Walts vists to Santa Rosa: http://lost.cubit.net/s4inv/4x13_santa_rosa.php

We see yet again another picture of an Island and the Sun

But that was as suprising to me as the man standing besides the painting working a mathmatical equation. What Formula is this someone clear up this shot.

The man playing Connect Four by his self much as Hurley did with his imaginary friend. The guy really seems focused on a next move.

The sail on the boat has a picture of a plane on it. The plane is going down.

I have another Santa Rosa clue for you all. Now, I may be behind the times on all of this, so forgive me, but I just got my first DVD player and am rewatching season one. I have only watched Lost when it aired on tv, so I haven't always seen everything you guys have. Anyway, in Deus Ex Machina, when Locke meets his biological mother, she tells him that he is special. She says that he is "...part of a design." He asks about his father, if he is still alive and she says "you just don't get it. You don't have a father. You were immaculatly conceived." Weird, right? Well, a few scenes after that Locke is talking to some guy (private detective or something??) and he tells Locke that he matched a hair from her car to his DNA and she is his mother. He also shows him some papers. Locke sees her California Drivers license, another document, and her registration paper for SANTA ROSA! Yes, she was admitted into Santa Rosa, not once, but twice according to the paper! I wrote down all of the dates but don't have it with me. I remember she was born in 1940 according to her Drivers License. So, if she got pregnant when she was 16, Locke was born in 1956-7? Does that make sense? Anyway, the Santa Rosa connection really freaked me out! I did not know this info at all! So, there you go. We are seeing lots of people now connected to the place. Why????

Wow! What a great find! Another Santa Rosa connection! Somebody should look up the saint Santa Rosa and see if there's anything there.

All I can think of when she says Locke was immaculately conceived is that she's very very crazy or Locke was the product of alien (Other, Dharma,?) abduction or something? Remember the look of fright (or was it horror?) on Emily's face at the hospital? There is something called spontaneous generation, but I have to look that up. And Emily's mom was so nervous sitting there. When she looked up she saw Richard, didn't she? Was Emily a pawn used by her mother for Richard's or another's purposes?

I used to live in a neighborhood where there was an older lady who went around bending everyone's car antennas so that they pointed to the ground--wrecking them of course. She insisted the aliens were able to bombard us with their special rays and could read our minds. The antennas were one of their conduits for damaging us, I guess, in her mind. She seemed harmless otherwise. Every so often on one of my walks I'd see another bent antenna and know she was still being vigilant!

Another anagram for Locke is Cloke like cloak? or cloque?
Cloke is obsolete for cloak.

Definition: Cloak: !. a loose garment, as a cape. 2. that which covers or conceals; disguise; pretext. 4. to hide; conceal.
So, maybe Locke's name has a bit more to it also.

Excellent! Yeah, I'm thinking alien right now, for sure. I wonder just how many there may really be? Was Ben concieved the same way? I like your insight into Locke. Very interesting.
Like the lady from your neighborhood, when I worked at a local police deparment as a 911 dispatcher we had a local guy who always called. He was a bit "off" you might say. I was the only one patient enough to talk to him for a few minutes if I had the time. He had the same ideas. I once told him to wrap aluminum foil around his head like a hat to block the radio waves so the aliens couldn't read his mind! Yep, I did. But, one other time he called, he said he needed the paramedics because he was bitten by a dinosaur! And, yes, that was just how the call went out on the air to the guys!!! What a hoot! You didn't even have to say who it was...everyone already knew!

It's hard to forget those kinds of people. They definitely stick out!

Found something interesting about Saint Rose for whom the city of Santa Rosa is named. She was born in Lima, Peru on 4/20/1586. She died on 8/24/1617. Rosa(born Isabel) is the patron saint of Sittard, in the Netherlands and of Santa Rosa, Calif.

"She was very severe in her practices because her own beauty upset her. She cut off her hair and rubbed her face with pepper and lye to disfigure herself."
"She was extremely devoted to contemplating the infant Jesus. She helped the sick and hungry around her community often bringing them home to take care of them. She made beautiful embroideries to earn money to help her family and to give money to the poor."

"She fasted 3x a week and practiced severe secret penances."

"She began to tell of visions, revelations, visitations, and voices. Her parents were against her severe practices."

In 1602 she donned the habit and joined the Dominicans.

"Thereafter, she doubled the severity and variety of her penances to a heroic degree, wearing constantly a metal spiked crown, concealed by roses, and an iron chain about her waist."

"Days passed without food save a draught of gall mixed with bitter herbs. When she could no longer stand, she sought repose on a bed constructed by herself, of broken glass, stone, potsherd, and thorns. She admitted that the thought of lying down on it made her tremble with dread."

"For eleven years this self-martydom continued without relaxation, with intervals of ecstasy, until she died at the age of 31."
Her feast day is August 30th.

Her attributes are the Rose, Anchor, and infant Jesus.
Those who are her patrons are embroiderers, gardeners, PEOPLE RIDICULED FOR THEIR PIETY (JOHN LOCKE?) and those who are against vanity.

Her picture shows her dressed in a long flowing WHITE gown with a BLACK cloak, and a very bright RED curtain hanging above her. St. Rose is holding roses and the baby Jesus with roses and cherubim all around her.
This was found on Wikipedia if anyone's interested. Many miracles have been attributed her and she was beatified in 1667 by Pope Clement 1X.

I read that also. If you add the month, day and year of her birth you get 8!
4 + 20 + 15 + 86 = 125 = 1 + 2 + 5 = 8

I think I go too far!!!!

The SUN on the blackboard looks very much like the stars on Newton's drawing of the philosopher's stone. Check it out. It might be more than just a sun really.

You know, it really is an advantage to go all the way back to the beginning of it all and start looking for the clues to verify what we are now thinking! Things are really starting to add up and make sense. I have lost so much sleep this week rewatching season 1!!!!
So, you also noticed the Dharma shark in that picture, right?
Do you think that the whole polar bear thing was just a big scam by the writers to throw everyone off track with what was really going on??? I am beginning to think that now.
