Alright, so i was watching lost, and in season 3, par avion, Mikhail is talking to kate, sayid, rosseau, and locke. He makes a comment to locke, saying something like, " You John Locke, I have a fleeting memory of you, but i must be mistaken, because the John Locke I remember was......" and then he is cut off.
It just hit me that if the island went back in time, did Locke run the island in the past??? Anyone have any ideas???

Just thinking aloud
its very possible imo but with the time jumping around and only having part of the information i am completely in the dark as t who when where what lol i'm going t let the writers tell me i do think u may b right mayb they all have been there b4
Im just thinking that maybe before Ben was in charge of the others, Locke was the leader, if, when ben moved the island, it moved back in time. Then Locke would be the leader, hypothetically, and this is why Mikhail knows him, because he used to be the leader of the others. Could it be possible that locke left, and came back when 815 crashed? Could it be possible that Locke is coming back for the second time?

Well aren't we assuming that Locke is the current leader of the others, so it is possible for Locke to be the leader in the past if when ben moved the island it moved in the past?

Maybe Mikhail knew Locke before, when he was in a wheel chair. If you finish off the quote: " You John Locke, I have a fleeting memory of you, but i must be mistaken, because the John Locke I remember was......in a wheel chair." it would make sense.
And speaking of Mikhail, has anyone else ever noticed that in Season 2: in The Other 48 days, when the tailies find the bunker that Libby holds up a glass eye. Could this be Mikhail's glass eye?? I think it just might be...
There is another thread about this that I started not too long ago. I also thought he had known Locke, perhaps from their time on the island before. If it is all round, time that is, then they would have all gone through this before. My idea was shot down. Someone should pull up the thread.
I keep thinking about the way Bea Klugh (Clugh?) told Mikhail to shoot her --a somewhat strange request that I can't figure out. It's something that may go along with this time repeating itself idea and the way Mikhail knew Locke when he was in the wheelchair, possibly? If you have been through something time and time again then maybe there's a point when you just want to opt out of it all--like Bea Klugh did? Or you decide to change the outcome by having yourself eliminated and causing some other kind of course correction, maybe? Was she doing it to try to change the outcome of Mikhail getting fried by the fence or some other outcome? Can you somehow take the vacuum created by another's death and use that to come back to life?Another thought: did she actually die--I really doubt it. Does the magic box figure in here and Ben just wishes you back to life? These things are connected, not sure exactly how though.
Also, I was watching an author lecture on "Branding" or product placement in the entertainment business. These guys pay a lot of money to have their product visible on the screen. Is the McCutcheon Whisky just a product placement ploy?
I agree that Bea Klugh is not really dead. I still believe that she is Susan Lloyd's mother and we will find this out at some point. When she interogated Michael she didn't ask one question about Walt's mother, just about himself as the father. To me this shows that she knew everything she needed to know about Walt's mother because it was her daughter. I still see a resemblence there, too.
As for why Bea gave it up so quick to die. Well, either she is one heck of a selfless spy or she knew it wouldn't effect anything because she'd be back. And I think she will. I believe her rank is right up there under Ben someplace. I think she had a good grasp on the situation and what was really going on there on the island. She was protecting something or someone to ask to die like that.
That's an interesting point about MacCutcheon Scotch. I have to say that when I Googled it I only found Lost references. I may not have gone back far enough though.
