Default Events Occuring on the Same Day?

I've been rewatching, just like everyone else, season one forward. I happened to watch the last epi on sci-fi last night. It was the background of Sawyer and the boar, etc. I noticed something.
When Sawyer met Christian in the bar in Austrailia there was a soccer game on the television in the background. It was just like the soccer game on in the bar when Des went back in time after the hatch exploded. I was waiting for the end of the game that was so exciting but they cut away before it would have happened. Could it be the same game? Are some or many of these events happening on the same day? Do we not know it yet? We have learned that this was when Ana Lucia dropped Christian off at the bar. That ties her to the same day. Is that a common thread? Any thoughts?

Couldn't have happened on the same day. Desmond's flashback would've been 3+ years before the crash. Christian met Sawyer a few days/week before the crash of 815.

Different days, just coinscidence.

Right! That's right. It was before Des went into the army. When he and Penny broke up I think. Okay. Maybe the writers threw that in because they wanted to confuse! Worked for me! Good catch, thanks.

NotsoLost, I think the writers use snippets like the ones you're talking about to make the events appear to be in an expanded time frame. Remember how they only showed Kate and Jack talking in the flash foreward and then later showed her backing the up the car and getting out to talk more with Jack? Am I remembering that correctly? They do some very creative editing IMO.
