Default Joeseph and Arlene Stewart

These people were eager to adopt Aaron and apparently raise him in Melbourne. They were willing to pay 20k before and 20k after the birth. This could be normal for wealthy couple's wanting to adopt, IDK. Seems like ALOT of money for an unwed mum with no extraordinary qualities.

Did they know he was special? Is there any evidence of them being connected to Widmore, DI, Hanso, Alpert, or anything like that? The "danger" Aaron posed was if someone else raised him. It was almost these people.

Thoughts????

That is probably the "going rate" if there were such a thing. I think it's actually illegal in the USA to pay to adopt like that. I think you can pay for living expenses and medical expenses but no price for the child. Anyway...
I would look deeper into the attorney handling the adoption rather than the adoptive parents. Reason being, if he were associated with any of the named sources, DI, Widmore, etc., he may have just wanted to "park" the baby with an unknowing family to raise it so he and his cohorts could get the child back at a later time, perhaps when it was grown up. The attorneys name was Mr. Slavitt. I bet we could come up with something else if that's an anagram!!!
