Lightbulb theory- how the mainlanders get back

i believe, like most of you, that the O6 or 9.... are gonna get back on ajira airways flight 316. but i got to thinking.... how would they land on the island? it doesent seem like they would be willing to suffer another crash. but i remembered the air strip that the others were building on hydra island. wouldnt that be a good place to land? also i think that ol' lapidus is gonna be the pilot of the plane that they will fly in.

I think they're going to use the airstrip to come back. Probably the losties time traveled to the past and told Richard or someone who knew what was going on to build an airstrip for them to land on. But, if they used a commercial airliner, then it won't be just them on the plane. So I was thinking that the people who were shooting at Locke's group from the boats could have been people we haven't met yet who came on the same plane as the Oceanic 6. It's a strech, but it's my theory

They could always land the plane on the water, like in the Hudson! I dont think we will have to wait long to prove or disprove this theory. Frank Lapidus is starring in 316. ajira flight 316: piloted by Lapidus.. i like it! After All Christian did say to locke that EVERYONE has to come back.

If you have seen the "Missing Pieces" clips on ABC.com, the clip "Room 23" gave me an idea about how the landing might take place. It shows a bunch of dead birds on the ground beneath a boarded-up window outside of room 23. I am assuming that is where they were holding Walt. Walt is "special" and has a gift for making things that fly stop flying. Maybe he will help bring down the plane?! I am SOOO willing to be wrong about that but there has to be some purpose for all the dead birds...otherwise it's just mean! Another idea... maybe Ms. Hawking has special coordinates that will help them penetrate the bubble that protects the island.

Yeah, room 23 is where they were holding Walt. there was also another scene in an earlier episode... when walt was reading a book about birds, his mother and step father where not listening to him, he gets angry and then a bird crashes into the window and dies. I think its more like, when Walt gets angry, stuff around him dies. that is walts' speciality (?) that is how he is different. It scares his step father so much that when Walts mother dies(how did that happen???? Did she make walt angry?) the guy wants to give walt back to Micheal.

I don't think Walt means this to happen, i think it just happens when he gets angry.

Absolutely! He has killed a lot of birds, as well as manifesting polar bears...at least that is the way it seemed with the whole comic book / being miffed at Michael thing. Maybe he was miffed at his Dad on flight 815 and that is why they crashed?! I have no idea but there has to be something behind all of the dead birdies and Walt being "special". Doesn't hurt to speculate, right?

OOOOOHHHH...that just made me think of Carrie by Stephen King! I know the creators are huge SK fans so I bet that is where they got the inspiration. Carrie made really creepy, bad things happen when she got her panties in a twist, just like Walt! Thanks, Jason!

The relentless power of negative thought. That reminds me of something off topic. In the episode when we first meet miles, hes like a ghostbuster with a converted dustbuster, the house he visits to do the bustin, that is walts grandmothers house right? does that mean that walt has died off the island? Is that the last we see of walt?

I think that was a lady who looked like Walt's G-ma but it wasn't his G-ma. I think the crew over at Lost just like to drive us mad with all of the actors / actresses that look alike. Did you notice in last week's episode the 2 guys that Rousseau killed that Jin saw on the beach? They looked so much like Jack it was crazy! Same with the dude on the North Pole that called Penny. And they keep recycling the same d@%$ character names too. Evil geniuses!!!
