SPOILER Alert! LOL!
Since Locke fixed the island, all doors now lead to the boobie station. Then he died with joy for the wonderful thing he had done.
This hasn't happened yet.......or has it! That's what he meant by "Wait till you see what I'm about to do!"

Too bad this thread went astray a little because the OP had a really great thought here. I believe that behind the door looked more like earth to me, ground dirt and misc. stuff. This really is something to think about in the grand scheme of things on the show. Great post!!!! I'm gonna see if I can find a screencap to refresh our memories of what was behind the doors. Besides, the Geronimo Jackson album cover had a door just like this on it...it opened to "nothingness"...
Just one quick point....there have been many, many unexplained crossovers between the DI and the Others on the show and I just chaulk this up to another one.
Edit: Okay, I checked Lostpedia and the Door Station was built into solid rock, my mistake. But, it did make me think of something that is a bit far out there...what else is new? lol. Okay, the fake Others village was located next to that strange looking rock outcrop of an almost perfect square with a hole cut out of the center. So, what if the rock behind the doors is a clue that stepping through that rock outcrop takes you into another spacetime dimension? IDK, way out there like I said...lol
I hadn't seen this post before and couldn't even remember anything about this door, so thanks for bringing it to the attention of those who hadn't seen it before.
This immediately made me think of the wardrobe in the 'Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', ie you can't always get through the portal, sometimetimes you just find the back of the wardrobe or a roack face in this case!
Plus I shouldn't be on here when I'm drinkin'... Never a good thing...
lol..yep.
That whole thing is "just unfinished". I couldn't even begin to guess what they are going to do with that door..
For all I know, the bomb goes off, and all the losties exit the door shortly there after.
