Default i was just thinking...

i could be totally off here, or if anyone else said something about it then i apologize, buuut

you know how in the pilot episode, Jack was pretty far away from the beach when they crashed? and everything around him seemed like he wasn't thrown over there or anything... and of course the bottle wasn't broken...

And then the second time when they went on the plane to go back, everyone that has been on the island already "flashed" off of the plane?

could Jack have been on the island before the first crash??

Technically, yes Jack was on the island before the 815 crash. Thanks to the 316 flight Jack was on the island in Dharma times starting in 1977. However, Jack was not aware of this following the 815 crash.

i think you make a valid point and a valid question. I am getting the feeling that Jack has been here before and maybe he doesnt even know it. As much as there are some great characters in this show, the last episode, and therefore most crucial part of this series, is going to revolve around jack.
