Default Did Ben intend Locke's resurection?

Just curious as to what you guys think:

When Ben kills Locke, do you think he did it with the knowledge that Locke would come alive again on the Island? Or do you think he did it to actually kill Locke forever?

I think he did it to actually kill him. If Ben knew that Locke would be resurrected upon return to the island, why doesn't he just let Locke kill himself?

That was my initial reaction. But it would seem that Ben knows to much about the Island to not know that Locke would come back to life. There's still a lot of mystery there.

Agreed. Being that Ben is Ben, he will most likely try get everyone to believe that Locke's resurreciton was his plan all along. Hopefully Locke will not let everyone be so naive

I think you're right. Locke is going to much more wiser now since he died and came back to life he'll have a better insight to everything, including Ben.

I think Ben knew Locke would come back to life. I think they may have presented it the way they did just to throw us a curve ball. Or possibly, what if Locke decided not to kill himself after talking with Ben?

I think the main purpose of how this unfolded was just to add to the negative perception of Ben.

Why would Ben want Locke to return to the island if he didn't know Locke would come back. Given how Ben always has a plan, perhaps he needs to use Locke's disdain for Ben at a given time in a future episode?

If Ben knew Oceanic 815 had to be recreated, including Mr. Locke, he wouldn't have strangled him. I agree Ben will do all he can to convince his people that he knew what he was doing. This time, his life will be on the Line. The Island is done with Ben, Ben just can't accept it.

my theory on lockes death is , ben had to kill him because as we saw with michael the island doesnt let you commit sucide. maybe if he hung himself something would have broke or the cord wouldve snapped. also i think ben knew 815 needed to be recreated therefore they needed a corpse. also its still a power struggle between the two, ben just can come to grips with it yet.....

I'm undecided. Ben seemed to be threatened by Locke's knowledge of Eloise, and that's why he killed him.. he thought Locke knew too much maybe and would get in Ben's way, or change Ben's plan. So, he kills Locke. At that point I thought, he knows he's important but he just wants to get rid of him until they're back to the island so he won't disrupt any of Ben's plans. But then he tells him he'll miss him, and I took that literally, because he wasn't speaking to anyone, just himself. So, then it makes me think that he thinks Locke is really dead.
