Default John locke and smokie.

I have a theory about locke. I dont think he is alive. I think he is smokie. When Ben called smokie, locke came. And how did locke know where smokie lived? Also locke wasn't there when smokie came to ben because ben convienently fell in a hole. Any thoughts?

But in the episode where Ben summoned smokey to attack Keamy and his men, Locke was in the house with Ben and Sawyer and was looking as shocked as Sawyer and everyone else did. He also has no clue who Smokey was but I think since his rebirth on the Island, he is becoming more in tuned to the Island and is having a greater understanding of it than Ben could ever have.
Also think back to the episode where Smokey approached Locke and Locke said he looked into the eye of the Island and lets not forget Locke was dragged by Smokey to try and get it into a CV

Yeah, I think what Farady is saying is that since Locke came back to the island and was "reincarnated", he is actually just smokie now.Not always, just now.. I actually thought that also for a while recently.
We have seen smokie take over bodies. Very plausible theory

I'm not sure Locke is smokey but he may very well not be
alive. If you watched battlestar gallactica, Starbuck was killed but came back in human form to help guide everyone to earth, then when her purpose was served she just was gone. Could that be what Christian and Locke are doing?

Your not saying that smokie and locke are 1 in the same but , since locke has come back to the island the smoke monster had taken form of locke ...like it did, christain, yemmie, claire, and possibly alot of other folks! that makes sence, cause how could locke know about his lair under the temple .....he laso just happened to be gone as ben was actuallt summoned then happerned to re apear....make 4 a good argument, smokie could take ona form at any point! i also think it can take on multiple people if had too, or at least 3!

Thumbs up

I am totally on board with this!
So obvious, yet so easy to dismiss or overlook.

Now, Smokie has a "two for one..."
Locke is acting on behalf of Smokey. And Ben will have to help.

Now for the logistics that King Nate mentioned...
Is he only one person at a time? Locke was off "finding rope" when Alex came in. So that would lead us to think, yes.

But Claire throws things off. Unless she was Judged, like Ben?
Maybe she was told to do whatever Christian wanted, no questions asked.

I really dig this!

I think that smokie is possibly Jacob. It doesn't seem like jacob can get around. So he has smokie. think of it like this: in 1954, richard was the leader and so jacob was in complete control. Than widmore was in charge and it seems like he went against jacobs orders. Then came good ol ben. he followed Jacob but then he resisted when his time was done. Jacob, if he is smokie, planned everything. Jacob ordered locke to move the island, but he knew that ben would do it. Than locke had to fix the flashes, ano leave. Jacob seems pretty smart, so he knew Locke would die one way or another. Than when lockie came back, smokie, or jacob, took control of locke, leader of the others. smokie told ben not to kill locke cause than jacobs plan would be reavealed. so jacob/ smokie is in control of the others and the island with out any chance of resistance. Plus if locke is smokie, he can't die. I believe that christian is jacob trying to talk with regular people.

Wow some interesting theories. Being a new guy I wont discount your theories ill just try to add my own ideas to them.

I dont think locke, jacob, alex etc. is smokey. The monster is a unique and seperate creature. The island has the ability to manifest certain people or things( kates horse) to serve its purpose. The monster is the protector of the island nothing more. Locke is alive because he has a purpose to fulfill to protect the island and it would make sense to think that once that purpose is fulfilled then he has no reason to continue to live but I also think that Lockes overall importance is as leader of the others. What I am most curious about at this point is what roles do Aaron and Walt still have to serve? Aaron is supposed to be so special much like Walt and even after the pleading of the psychic in Sydney we now know that Aaron is being taken care of by someone other than Claire. Walt is living in New York but that doesnt mean he will somehow make it back to the island and we know that Walt can see things. He can sense things. All I know for sure is that I cant wait until wednsday to see what is underneath the shadow of the statue
