LOST Weekend 2010 - LOST Live

"This isn't Royce Hall. It's on the other side of campus and it's a ten minute walk from here," she said.
I started running and when I entered the auditorium, writers Damon and Carlton were introducing Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond) to the crowds wild applause. More cast members would appear until 3 quarters of the stage was filled with about 20 cast members instead of just the advertised three. Photos were not allowed, but that made the event even better. No one was concerned with taking photographs or videos.

Actors read from "Messages in a Bottle." Later, the music played as scenes of LOST appeared on a screen. Even though I had been hot, sweaty and tired when I entered, I was in another place entirely now and I didn't want the music to end. Hearing everything performed live was uplifting and it could make you cry at the same time. It was perfect.

I was very excited to hear that we would be watching more than clips from the next episode. We saw the entire episode entitled What They Died For and it's excellent. If the title makes it sound like a downer, it certainly isn't. It's fast moving and often funny and it looks like a set-up for what could be a very satisfying finale.

NOTES: Nestor Carbonell's "Messages from a Bottle" performance was excellent!

We should all watch LOST on the big screen - starting over with Season 1!
