Could You Finance Widmore's Mini Army?


  Ususally, someone wealthy doesn't finance something unless it has a really good payoff. That's usually why they're rich in the first place. So, how much would it actually cost to finance Widmore's island expedition? The people at Mainstreet.com attempt to answer that question.



  Leasing a 150 foot freighter for 3 months: 1.62 million dollars (US)

  Naomi's Bell UH-1B helicopter: 4.7 million

  Ray (doctor, deceased), $170,796

  Keamy (mercenary, deceased), $60,000

  Hendricks (freighter pilot, deceased), $58,158

  Naomi (mercenary, deceased), $58,043

  Miles (scientist), $58,043

  Charlotte (scientist), $58,043

  and so on. These are annual salaries, but certainly they could be considered hazard pay for the 3 month expedition. Mainstreet estimates the total cost at approximately 7.1 million (not counting fuel and artillery!). So, what is the payoff for Widmore? What is his game?
